It’s a Red-tailed Hawk!
Habitat: Deciduous forests and open country of various kinds, including tundra, plains, and farmlands.
The Red-tail is the most common and widespread American member of the genus Buteo.
These are not leaves! They are little birds, a very large flock of little birds, too far away to identify.

I really thought those were leaves, not birds! Neat pictures, Ebet. I don't see hawks around here much, but think it is neat when I do. :)
Ok I will take your word for it! Our birds of prey really gathered about three weeks ago..many were out hunting. They are so small and fast I can never get good photos.
I think those flocks of little birds fly over our place too.I can't identify them either because I don't have my binoculars out when I spy them. Great photos Bet!
